Central locking problem solved. I discovered that my doors were not actually locking when the remote keyfob activated the alarm on. after checking the door locking using the key to confirm the actuators were actually working I then did a reset. I disconnected the battery pos lead and touched it to the car chasis for about 10 seconds.

Jaguar XF 2008-2015 (X250) Electronics. I've just changed the main battery in my 2014 Portfolio S but now central locking will not work it doesn't auto lock when driving off nor do the mirrors fold in.. The car needs to fully shut down by being left for a minimum of 20 minutes with the keys out of range before the battery is disconnected. Failure to do this can result in the issue you are having, where the security/locking system becomes corrupted. The system will need to be reset using the Jaguar SDD software or in worst case the CJB replaced.

Its usually ok to disconnect the battery. as long as ignition is off, usually no problems. if there were a lot of errors, only thing I can think off, was battery was disconnected with the ignition on, causes every module to go into error/fault. glad you got it sorted and hope it was not too expensive to sort.
